Boise Osteopathic Medical Clinic

An Osteopathic Approach

It is our desire at Boise Osteopathic Medical Clinic to partner with our patients and provide you with excellent healthcare for the whole person.

By working with our providers and support staff, we hope you will develop a trusting relationship with the professionals at our clinic who are dedicated to helping meet your medical needs within our scope of practice.

Osteopathic (DO) medicine began in America in 1874 by Andrew Taylor Still, MD, DO. Doctor Still developed a philosophy of medicine that expressed a belief in the unity of the whole body. He recognized the musculoskeletal system to be a fundamental part of good health.

In addition to medications and surgery, he began using physical techniques to aid the body in the wellness process. This came to be known as Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine and is an integral part of our patient care.

The providers and support staff at Boise Osteopathic Medical Clinic offer our patients this whole-body approach to wellness. By using a variety of treatment modalities such as Myofascial Release, Fascial Distortion Model, Cranial/Sacral and others, each patient’s care is designed for their needs.

We strive to provide excellence in patient care in an environment that is respectful, compassionate, and supportive of the body’s natural tendency towards self-healing. We look forward to walking with you on your journey to complete health and wellness.
